Sun Valley Wrestling Coach Charged
Coach Terry Terrell Gillard, a long time youth wrestling coach has been charged with over 24 counts of child molestation in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Coach Gillard has coached wrestling in the San Fernando Valley for nearly 30 years and is well known as a wrestling coach for both boys and girls. He faces significant prison time if convicted.

Cahuenga Elementary and Vine Elementary Coach Ronnie Lee Roman guilty on seven counts of child sexual abuse. Roman was an employee of the Los Angeles Unified School District when he molested the children who where in an after school program. Coach Ronnie sexually abused the children on school property as well as at the children’s homes.

Vance Miller was accused of sexually abusing at least four children when he was a music teacher at Hamilton High School. As a result of the allegations, Miller was investigated by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). However the investigations never resulted in any criminal charges. The LAUSD agreed to pay a settlement in a lawsuit represented by Anthony DeMarco.

Unified School District, successfully argued that a 14-year old, 8th grader was partially responsible for being raped and sexually abused by her teacher Elkis Hermida. The attorney who argued on behalf of the school district, W. Keith Wyatt, was subsequently fired after an interview that aired on KPCC, a local public radio station. NBC News interviewed California Child Abuse Attorney, Anthony DeMarco regarding his thoughts on the controversy as a local child sexual abuse expert.

Pasadena’s local public media station, KPCC, and the Los Angeles Times report about the civil lawsuit that we filed regarding a Los Angeles School District music teacher who is accused of molesting children at Hamilton High School, where he worked. The alleged perpetrator, Vance Miller, is accused of maintaining an ongoing sexual relationship with one of the children for three to four years.
