More Than Just A Law Firm
Our firm is small. We like it that way. This is to make sure that you and the details of your case don't get lost in the shuffle of a large law firm. We also understand how difficult it is to feel comfortable talking about your experiences as a survivor. As an expert child molestation lawyer, we make your comfort our priority.
We are pleased to introduce you to our team of extraordinary professionals. Feel free to request any of us by name when you call or send an email.
Anthony M. DeMarco, Esq.
Attorney & Counselor at Law
As a full-time child molestation lawyer, Anthony DeMarco has successfully helped more than 400 Southern California survivors of childhood sexual abuse recover financially. Anthony knows how important it is to help sexual abuse survivors understand and cope with the effects of their abuse, to find the truth about their abusers, and to hold those who covered up for the abusers accountable.
Anthony was born and raised in the Greater Los Angeles area and has a close connection with the local communities and people of Southern California. He graduated from California State University at Los Angeles in 1992 and earned his Law Degree at Loyola Law School, in Los Angeles in 1996. Anthony has been working as a lawyer with a special emphasis on sexual abuse civil law, now, for 20 years.
In representing sexual abuse survivors from Southern California communities, Anthony DeMarco has personally interviewed and counseled hundreds of child and adult survivors of clergy sexual abuse, as well as abuse by other authority figures such as teachers, coaches, and youth group counselors. His experience in the field of sexual abuse law affords him a unique understanding for how to navigate the difficulties of confronting churches regarding pedophile priests, archbishops, bishops, and other high-ranking officials who have harmed children.
While much of Anthony's work has involved Catholic clergy, he has also successfully filed and settled cases of child sexual abuse against the Los Angeles Unified School District, Alhambra Unified School District, American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO), the Seventh Day Adventists, the Lutheran Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and The International Four Square Church.

Courtney Kiehl is an attorney and advocate for victim-survivors of sexual violence. Kiehl founded A.C.H.E. (Abused Children Heard Everywhere) as a response to her own experience with sexual abuse by her gymnastics coach and has spent the last fourteen years working on related issues.

While at UCLA she also received the honor of Los Angeles County’s Volunteer of the Year for her work in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Victim-Witness Assistant Program. Kiehl received her Juris Doctorate from Pennsylvania State University, where she served as a Family Law Clinic fellow and Project Manager for Research Engagement & Community Healing. Victims Advocate & Case Investigator
Adrian is a native to Los Angeles and an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse. In his work at the law firm as a Victims Advocate, he provides daily support to our clients' various needs. He also provides emotional support throughout the case and afterwards.
Adrian provides a unique level of support to our clients that other law firms simply don't have. He grew up in Highland Park, CA and was raised in a devout Catholic family to Mexican immigrant parents. Like so many kids, he was taught to fully trust and believe in the authority of the catholic priests. When he was 10 years-old a church seminarian began sexually abusing him and continued to abuse him regularly for six years. Like most child sexual abuse victims, Adrian didn't understand why he was being abused or why his parents allowed him to spend so much time with his abuser.
Adrian suffered many unknown consequences of his abuse. He dropped out of school, developed anger issues, and eventually ended up living on the streets and addicted to drugs. Eventually, even his marriage developed problems due to repressed memories of the abuse.
Adrian met Anthony DeMarco at a time when he needed a child molestation lawyer. Subsequently, Adrian was part of the $660 million judgement that Anthony DeMarco settled claims for in 2007 against the Catholic Church. Since then, he has turned his life around. He has worked with the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) and has been through the civil litigation process. He now works full-time as our firm's Victims Advocate to help our clients begin the process of healing that they deserve.

KIND WORDS FROM SURVIVORS WE'VE HELPED
"Childhood sexual abuse is one of the most painful, devastating, and confusing experiences a child can live through. I should know. I lived with the unexplainable guilt, shame, and confusion for most of my adult life. It was very difficult for me to trust people, let alone talk about such ugly and disgusting experiences with someone I didn't know well.
Anthony listened to me. He took notes and asked questions with care. Even though the questions he asked me were uncomfortable, I felt that he truly cared and wanted justice for me. Anthony listened to me and acted on my behalf, that was so very important to me."
"Before I met Anthony I was very confused. I didn't fully understand how my feelings, anger, and insecurities were caused by my childhood abuse. I was also afraid to talk about it because my community was so religious and trusting of the Church.
But Anthony helped me make sense of my life and I've never felt better. Not only did he help me win my case, but he continues to help me whenever I need, as a mentor and counselor.
Anthony gave me a sense of freedom that I never knew was possible."
"When I first heard from Tony I was afraid that I was getting in trouble. Because my abuse had left me in a life with no friends, I didn't trust anyone. But when I met Adrian, I felt comfortable. Adrian was like me, a survivor. I trusted Adrian. And eventually I came to realize that Tony really believed in me and really wanted to help me recover from my abuse.
When Tony and I had to talk privately about my abuse, he would look me directly in my eyes. I could tell that he genuinely cared for helping me. He always believed in me, even when others were trying to tell lies during the case.
Tony and Adrian are still an important part of my life today, even though my case is settled. They have never closed their door to me and I consider Adrian to be one of my best friends now. It gives me great comfort to know that I can count on Tony and Adrian whenever I need them."
