Vance Miller was a music teacher in the Academy at Hamilton High School, part of the Los Angeles Unified School District

The Los Angeles Unified School District agreed to pay a settlement to a former student who claimed to be sexual abused by Vance Miller in a recent civil lawsuit. The lawsuit alleged that at least four Hamilton Academy students accused Vance Miller of having sex with them while they attended the high school. Two of the students who filed lawsuits claimed that Miller “groomed” them by becoming their friend, first, then mentoring them intimately and then escalating physically into sexually abuse.
The Plaintiffs were represented by the Law Office of Anthony DeMarco who confirmed that a settlement had been reached. The terms of the settlement required that all parties keep the monetary award confidential.
